Weyermann® Caramunich® type 1
Medium coloured caramel malt with rich maltiness and light sweetness. Adds fullness, mouthfeel and foam stability.
Normal usage up to 15 % of grain bill. Gives beer a deeper colour with hints of copper.
During the malting process the kernels are rested at 65 °C until sugars are released, followed by a rise in temperature during which partial caramelization occurs.
