Weyermann® Carawheat®
Medium coloured crystal malt which combines the softness of wheat malt with a mild caramel sweetness. Gives flavours of wheat bread, almonds and a light nuttiness with mellow wheat phenols. Adds body with some creaminess and leaves some residual sweetness.
This malt is produced in the roasting drum and is nearly 100 % caramellized. Well suited for use in Hefe- and Dunkelweizen, but also well suited in beers where a mild caramel character is desired.
