Sinamar® is used darken the colour of beer (or other food products) without affecting the taste.
Sinamar is produced by mashing Carafa® black malt in the Weyermann® brewery. The wort is then concentrated in a vacuum process, filtered and packaged at 70 - 75 °C.
Sinamar is gluten-free, causes no turbidity and remains pH stable.
On the products ingredient list, Sinamar® can be reported as barley malt, malt extract or roasted malt extract. The perceived color contribution may vary with the haziness of the beer, so trials are recommended before adding to the full batch volume.
Dosage: Use 14 g (11.9 ml) of SINAMAR® Color Malt Extract to darken 1 hl of beer or wort by 1 °EBC.
This can be added after brewing.
In addition to beer, Sinamar also suitable for coloring other products such baked goods, non-alcoholic drinks, spirits, pharmaceutical products and tea etc.
