Unhopped dried malt extract (DME).
Can be used as a base for extract brewing, instead of sugar in a beer kit or making yeast starters.
Normal dosage:
- Extract Brewing: 1 kg malt extract per 8 liters of water (OG 1.045, yields about 4.5% vol). 1 kg of malt extract per 6 liters of water (OG 1.060, yields about 4.5% vol)
- Yeast starter: 100 g of malt extract per liter of water (OG 1.035)
- Beer kits: Add instead of sugar in the same quantity as the instructions specify. This gives a significantly richer beer.
