This fermenter is made from clear, food grade, PET. It's almost completely impermeable to oxygen and thus ideal for secondary fermentations.
Predrilled with a 26 mm hole, 5 cm above the bottom, for mounting a tap. Tap needs to be mounted with Spigot Wrench mounting tool or similar device.
Compared to glass demijohns, PET is light and can withstand bumps and knocks without breaking. Glass demijohns are heavy and can be dangerous to handle.
Note: PET can't withstand excessive temperatures. Max 60 °C.
Easy to clean and sanitize. Use PBW for cleaning and Star San or Saniclean for sanitizing. Do not exceed the recommended dosage for PBW.
This fermenter is very similar to Better Bottle in performance and quality, but it has some advantages. It's a bit stiffer and doesn't "flex" as much when lifted by the neck. Also, the walls are completely smooth, making it easier to clean and sanitize.

Svårt att få tätt vid tappkranen. Försökte flera gånger. Ibland håller de tätt ibland inte. Har nu slängt dem för att slippa oroa sig över det.

Tråkigt att du haft läckage i tappkranen. Detta kan ske om packningen har vridit sig eller på något sätt blivit skadad. Jag kontaktar dig i ett separat mejl, så får vi kika på detta lite närmare.

En bra jäsbehållare, men kan nog vara lite svår att rengöra. Jag har en Mark's Keg Washer och då är det inga problem.

Hej,
Det stämmer, PET Carboy med borrat hål säljs utan tillbehör. Till den behöver man en kran och en Spigot Wrench för att montera kranen, samt silikonpropp och jäsrör.
