Infusion Spiral® is a patented product that is easy to use and which, thanks to the large contact surface, provides good oak character in a short time. Infusion Spiral® has been developed by The Barrel Mill, a cooperage in Minnesota that specializes in making oak barrels for craft breweries, wineries and distilleries.
The spiral cut makes big surface area to extract fast like chips but without the mess.
Two spirals are suitable for use in 20-25 liters of beer or wine, for up to 6 weeks. For a smaller amount of 10-12 liters, use one spiral. They can also be divided to reduce the dosage. Or you can use shorter contact time.
The oils in Spanish Cedar give vibrant aroma and flavor to beer. Adds primary note of grapefruit with secondary contributions of white pepper and sandalwood. Light Toast adds structure and lifts the fruit with a delicate note of coconut.
