Protafloc is a fining agent based on carrageenan (the active ingredient in Irish Moss). Protafloc is used in the same way as Irish Moss, but is both more efficient and more concentrated, and thus requires a lower dosage. Add 1.5 grams per 100 liters of wort, (one tablet per 150 liters) 15-20 minutes before the end of the wort boiling.
