Description

Article no.: 597341

Recipe kit with crushed malt for brewing 20 liters of beer.

Crisp and balanced Lager beer with moderate hop bitterness. The Saaz hops noble and slightly fruity hop character combines perfectly to the mildly malty character of Barke pilsner malt and Munich malt. This beer is like an old aquaintance that you’re glad to meet again, and happy to invite to your table.

For best results the beer should be allowed to ferment cool (10 - 12 °C) preferably ending with a period of cold lagering.

Recipe and instructions (for download)

This recipe kit contains:
  • Malt (5 kg): Barke® Pilsnermalt and Munich malt type 1 from Weyermann®
  • Hops: Magnum and Saaz
  • Yeast: Fermentis Saflager S-189
Original Gravity: 1.052
Alcohol: 5,2 % vol
Colour: 10 °EBC
Bitterness: 22 IBU

For improved beer clarity, we recommend using finings in the wort boil. Protafloc attracts haze-forming particles and settles out during chilling, making it easier to separate it from the clear wort. This results in a beer with less haze.

Pale beer styles may benefit from some treatment of the brewing water. Typically, small amounts of lactic acid are added to the mash and sparge water. Normal dosage is 1 - 4 tsp per 20 liter.

Import the recipe to your brewing software (BeerXML-file compatible with BeerSmith, Brewfather and others). To download the file: click on the file name and let it open in a preview window. Download the xml-file from the preview window.

Dags att öppna första flaska på Julaftonen. Snabb leverans, bra instruktioner.
