Porter recipe kit 20 l

Recipe kit with crushed malt for brewing 20 liters of beer.

Porter is a dark, generous and malty beer with flavours of roast, chocolate and sweetness. This recipe includes unmalted flaked oats that adds body and smoothness to the beer. The hops are chosen to give a balancing bitterness, with a mild aroma of citrus and spice.

This recipe kit contains:

• Malt: Pale ale malt and Cararoma® from Weyermann®, Low Colour Chocolate Malt, Crystal 150 and Torrefied Oats from Crisp
• Hops: Chinook, East Kent Golding and Styrian Celeia
• Yeast: Fermentis Safale S-04

Original Gravity: 1.058
Alcohol: 5,5 % vol
Colour: 65 °EBC
Bitterness: 33 IBU

If the brewing water is soft or medium-hard, we recommend adding some calcium carbonate to the mash when brewing dark beers such as stout. This gives a fuller beer with less malt acidity.
