An organic coffee from Yunnan, China with notes of fruit and dark sugar.
China is a emerging country on the speciality coffee scene, but with it's highlands the province of Yunnan has shown to be ideal for growing coffee. Previously only having sold their beans to big, local coffee roasters, some preoducers have shifter their focus to exporting quality speciality coffee and organic production.
This coffe comes exclusively from Yirong Farms, where Jean Lou and her husband Song has been growing coffee since 1987. Today they are joined by their daughter Jean and together they are working not only for themselves but also to help develop the coffee farming in the region. Their farm is organic and fertilized with natural compost while the irrigation comes from a nearby mountain spring.
In this bean you can find notes of orange och apple with a sweetness similar to dark sugar. This is balanced with a soft and nutty flavor.
