Pilgrim can be used as an all-round hop thanks to its relatively high alpha acid content in combination with good aroma properties.
Works well as a single hop in bitters and ales but also as a complement in darker beer types.
Bred by Horticulture Research International (HRI) from Wye Collage in the UK and released to the public in 2000. Siblings to First Gold and Herald which are both dwarf hop plants but despite this Pilgrim is not.
Aroma: The taste can be described as spicy with flavors of cedar, pear and honey. Gives a round bitterness.
