Grainfather Grain Mill

Grainfather Grain Mill is an easy-to-use malt crusher for home brewers who desires a smoother brewing day.

The mill is equipped with two powerful rollers where one is driven by the motor and the other is used to set the distance between them. By moving the knob to any of the 10 different settings, you can adjust the rolling distance from 0.8 - 2 mm.

The motor, which is 400 W, is attatched directly on the drive shaft and has both speed control and a power switch. You can easily turn the mill on or off and adjust the grinding speed directly on the engine. This is far much more convenient than cranking by hand or holding down a screwdriver for several minutes as many other mills require.

The malt is fed into the mill from the funnel which holds about 1 kg of malt. The funnel has extra security in the form of two flanges as finger protection at the bottom.

The grinder comes with a bamboo mounting plate with a diameter of 38 cm. This means that it stands well over most brewing buckets up to 30 liters and the malt dust stays beneath the plate. Once the mill is mounted you can easily lift the whole thing with the handle on the motor.

The mill has a maximum capacity of about 1.7 kg of malt per minute.



NOTE! To attach the mill, you need to either drill two holes or use two wood screws (not supplied).
