Meter for measuring Dissolved Oxygen (D.O.).
Ergonomical probe that measures the amount of dissolved Oxygen by using Polarography, which is electro-chemical analysis by using low-current.
Manual calibration at two points: at 0 % Oxygen and at 100 % saturated air.
Before first use the probe must be filled with electrolyte, followed by calibration. Use Zero Oxygen calibration solution for the 0 % Oxygen calibration.
Included:
The sample must be kept in movement during measuring, for example by moving the probe or by utilizing a magnetic stir plate. Depending on differences in altitude (relative to sea level) and salinity, the readout values may have to be corrected (correction tables included). Measuring during mashing can result in inconcistent values, due to chemical processes and naturally occuring anti-oxidants in the mash.
Automatic temperature compensation (ATC) between 0 °C and 30 °C.
