Measuring range 0 to 10 °Plato (equivalent to 0-40 °Oechsle) with 0.1 °Plato scale divisions.
Calibrated at 20 °C.
Integrated thermometer for easy temperature correction.

The fermentation rate and the alcohol can be calculated by comparing the density before and after fermentation.
The alcohol content may be calculated by the formula
(plato before fermentation - plato after fermentation) * 0.516 = alcohol by volume. </ Span>
Example: (12-2) * 0.516 = 5.16% vol.
