One cartridge contains 21 ml mixed gas of 70% nitrogen N2 and 30% CO2, perfect for providing a cascading pour for rich and creamy beers such as stouts and porters.
Use together with Beer Gas Mini Regulator that can handle higher pressure than a standard CO2-regulator.
How to use Beer Gas for dispensing:
The beer is carbonated as per usual with CO2 to the desired degree of carbonation. A normal range for nitro stouts is 1.2 - 1.7 CO2 vol.
Disconnect the CO2, and fit the mini-regulator with a 21ml beer gas cartridge. Tap the beer using a stout faucet or a faucet with stout spout attached.
Adjust the pressure until you get the desired creamy experience.
Fill glass about 75 % (it’ll be mostly foam). Let foam dissipate 1 -2 minutes. Partially open tap to slowly top-off glass.
You might need quite high pressure to push the beer through a creamer / restrictor disc to achieve the desired effect. We recommend that you start with approx. 1 bar (15 psi), and adjust up / down from there depending on how the faucet with creamer is behaving. Some famous stouts, for example, are poured at around 2 - 2.4 bar.
Food safe and TÜV-certified. Box of 10 x 21 ml Beer Gas Cartridges.
