FlowStopper is a handy device for closed transfers of beer to kegs.
The small float is lifted by incoming beer when the keg is full, stopping the outgoing CO2 and halting the flow of beer. This will prevent further liquid exiting the gas post. This means you can fill kegs automatically without the risk of kegs overflowing.
Especially well suited for use when transferring beer from larger to smaller kegs, or when transferring beer from pressurized vessels like the Fermzilla, Fermentasaurus or Unitank.
FlowStopper can be mounted on a threaded keg coupler with 1/4" MFL-threads. Use a BlowTie Diaphragm Valve to control the transfer speed and avoid excessive foaming.
Tips for use:
The beer should be well chilled and not over-carbonated.
The receiving keg should be purged with CO2 before transfer, with a slight overpressure in the keg to minimize foaming.
Keep the keg at a slight angle (with the "In" post of the keg lower than the "Out" post) until transfer is complete and the gas keg coupler has been removed. This way, the gas dip tube won't be flooded.
Includes: 2x Push-in 8 mm - 5/8" BSP 1x Push-in 8 mm, angle 1x Push-in 8 mm - 1/4" FFL 1x Silicone Ball Float 1x Stainless spring 2x Straight 8 mm joiners 1x Acrylic sight glass with 5/8" BSP (male)
