This updated kit includes everything from ball-lock fitting to faucet.
The thin tubing (3.2 mm inside diameter) provides a significant pressure drop that allows dispensing heavily carbonated beer without too much foaming.
In this kit, the thin tubing goes all the way from ball lock disconnect to Picnic Faucet, without the need to add short bits of 3/8" tubing to fit the faucet.
The package includes:
1x Threaded ball lock disconnect - 1/4" MFL - liquid
1x John Guest 3/8" - 1/4" FFL
1x John Guest 3/16" - 3/8" stem
about 2 meters PE tubing 3/16"
1x John Guest 1/4’’ - 3/16"
1x Picnic Faucet with 1/4" stem
Comes fully assembled. The color of the tubing may vary.

Does the John Guest connection to the tap from the original v1 package (with the extra bit of hard plastic tube) connect to this newPicnic tap? And is the beer line the same? Trying to understand if i can just replace the taps to upgrade on the v1 i have.

I would recommend adding a John Guest 1/4" - 3/16" art. no. 878831, so you can get from the 3/16" PE-tube to the new Picnic tap (which has a 1/4" stem).
Alternatively, you could connect your existing JG 3/16"-3/8" (which you have on your old v1 set) via a John Guest 1/4" - 3/8" stem art. no. 878896 to get to the new tap.
