The MattMill LauterHelix is a new and innovative way to lauter your wort and serves as very good alternative to the MattMill False Bottom. In Germany known as "LäuterHexe" it convinced the home brewers immediately and is one of the best-sellers on the german-speaking market.
The ingenuity of the product is that the filtering is achieved by the slits of the spiral (no clogging). The speed of the lautering depends on the bending of the LauterHelix (more bent = larger slits = faster lautering).
Ideal for clean, simple and efficient lautering
usable with any lautering vessel, bucket or container due to it's proverbal flexibility
two versions of different lengths are available (1000 mm for vessels of approximately 40 cm when placed in a round circle and 1800 mm for vessels of approximately 60 cm)
placed in all different shapes and loops as long as the spiral is not kinked

Funkar toppen toppen. Vörten är betydligt klarare än med bazokafiltret.

Fungerar skapligt. Använder den i kokkärlet. Tillsammans med en wirlpool så täpps den inte igen, kan då tömma koket ur kärlet genom att vinkla kärlet så det mesta tappas ur:)

Fungerar den när man använder humlepellets?

De minsta partiklarna från pellets kommer förmodligen att sugas med vörten, men de grövre filtreras bort effektivt. Detta är dock under förutsättning att spiralen inte ringlas för tajt, då öppningarna mellan spiralens varv ju vidgas när radien på hela spiralen blir mindre. Som filtreringshjälpmedel funkar LauterHelix riktigt bra för lite grövre partiklar som vid mäskning/lakning, rekommenderas.
