Chugger X-DRY XCPSS-IN (Inline, Stainless)

Chugger X-Dry models with FDA Approved Carbon Bearing Materials. Many people do not realize that most pumps should not be run dry, (running the pump without liquid) but it happens.

When a pump has been run dry, the most of the time the impeller will start to melt and warp. When this occurs the shaft can seize up with the impeller and will stop spinning.

The new carbon bearing will prevent your pump from seizing when run dry.

Please note, the Chugger X-Dry Home Brew Pumps are Not Self Priming and the pump head must be flooded with liquid prior to being turned on.

The Chugger pumps are heat resistant (can handle liquids of 120 °C) and are made from food grade materials, thus ideal for pumping both hot and cold wort. Thanks to the magnetic drive, it's completely leak-proof.
The pump is not self-priming and must therefore be placed low in the system so that it fills with fluid.

Installation:
The CHUGGER PUMP® is shipped ready for installation. Directional arrows on the pump head show fluid direction through the pump. The four screws on the pump head may be removed and the pump head can be rotated as required to fit your piping system.



Follow all local electrical safety codes and always disconnect power before performing work on or near the pump motor.
