The new generation of the popular brewing system from KegLand with major improvements in design and connectivity.

BrewZilla Generation 4.1 is the latest evolution in this series of RIMS brewing systems and has now become more flexible and powerful than ever. Although the exterior shape is largely the same, almost everything on the inside has been redesigned.

The brewing process is still the same where you mash, sparge and boil in the same vessel and the accompanying cooling coil means you can also cool the wort afterwards. During mashing, the wort is pumped around over the malt bed and then strained off  and sparged by lifting the malt basket up and placing it on the edge on the inside of the top of the pot.

The new controller has a color screen and is located at the top of the pot to provide a more ergonomic working position. The angle of the controller can be adjusted and it can also easily be removed while cleaning to avoid damage.

The device is able to be connected to your WiFi network where it has access to KegLand's RAPT portal. Via this you can, among other things, collect data from and connect all your RAPT units, program mash and fermentation schedules and create and save recipes. You can also use the device's Bluetooth as a hub to forward information from KegLand's upcoming Bluetooth accessories to the RAPT portal.

The bottom of the kettle has a concave shape with an central outlet down to the pump. Together with the included false bottom, this means that you can get almost all the wort out while leaving hops and residues behind. The pump is easily accessible on the underside where it connects to both a ball valve and the recirculation arm. Thanks to this, you can clean the brewing unit using the CIP (Clean-In-Place) method.

Around the cone at the bottom sits the heating element, which is Ultra Low Watt Density cilket, which causes the heat to spread out and produces less caramelization and burnt-on deposits, unlike many other brewers. The element can be controlled with a PID algorithm that adjusts the power down when, for example, mashing to maintain a more even temperature.

The malt basket has also been redesigned and is now approx. 30% larger than its predecessor. The new design has a filter plate at the bottom and perforations a bit up the side. The malt barrel has also been given an extra pair of feet in the middle so that it can be lifted up in two steps during leaching. These two improvements allow you to seamlessly brew both large and small batches.
